Vermelho presents, from July 20th to August 19th, 2006, the solo exhibition Quarto/Sala by Leandro da Costa.
In the solo show Quarto/Sala, the artist presents drawings carved into walls that refer to storms, states of agitation and restlessness, caused by natural and momentary imbalances. Sometimes heavier and more time-consuming, such events point to situations of waiting and lack of action, revealing the restlessness and discomfort of human beings in situations where reflection is fundamental for new actions.
In “Mais um toast”, from 2005, da Costa reveals the moment after such events, where the consequences had already become visible and remedied, suggesting the need for risk, essential in everyday life.
