Marrom is a project that gathers 20 people who work in the fine arts field, for six weeks, at Galeria Vermelho. The participants where selected by art teacher and artist Dora Longo Bahia, and the idea is to develop works from a discussion about uses, values and meanings of space and the art object. The 43 days period will work as structure to the existence of the works, detouring the emphasis usually given to the exhibition space and to the objects shown in it.
After two months of weekly meetings, the group will meet daily, from June 29 to August 10. From July 6, the gallery will be open to the public, showing performances, installations, music, talks, etc. The exhibition will be in constant mutation, what requires regular visits of the public, as well as participation in the weekly events.
PERFORMANCES: Several performances will take place during the six weeks exhibit, some performances will be continuous and others set at specific days chosen by the artist.
