“The proposal was made from the idea of deconstructing the physical element of the facade itself, establishing a view of the internal space of the gallery.
The structure, such as the columns, beams, floor, ceiling, walls, were painted with acrylic paint (starting from a chromatic scale, from black to light gray, I established the level of structural importance of the building), while elements such as tables, chairs, toilets, were designed with charcoal based on the idea that with time they would disappear (due to the exhibition being in the “rainy season”, autumn) or just faint.
The stairs that connect the ground floor to the first floor were painted with glossy varnish, and the photographs by Cássio Vasconcelos, located on the first floor, were painted with Vaseline, assuming they would ‘take shape’ over time” – André Komatsu
