From November 26th to February 1st, the Vermelho Gallery presents Mônica Nador and Paula Trope.
The project for the gallery’s façade will be the painting “Arquiteturas” (Architectures) by Mônica Nador. This work is a derivation of the “Paredes Pinturas” (Painted Walls) project, where the artist goes to communities far from art centers, collects drawings provided by residents, and then proposes the application of these drawings on the walls of houses to beautify the environment and expand the visual repertoire.
For the gallery, Mônica selected drawings of houses made by residents of Jardim Miriam in São Paulo and from Amazonas, so that the popular representations of houses dialogue with the architectural project of Paulo Mendes da Rocha.
